Although COVID stopped us from visiting Alternating Currents in person, the whole team was so welcoming and created plenty of opportunities for us to network and enjoy the festival virtually! I can't wait to visit in person one day!

Even though this was taking place during COVID I'd definitely recommend this festival. I've been to Davenport and it's an awesome town and the people that run the fest are super friendly and know how to run a kick a** festival. Thanks for accepting The Water Song - hope to see you in person at a future fest!

2020 has been a bear for everyone, for filmmakers it has an added taste of being bittersweet. So many festivals have cancelled straight out and rightfully so. I was bummed when Alternating Currents cancelled as well, but they did however also announce winners so there was a little something fun in the mix.

Every filmmaker I know who has attended says AC is the best, most unique, and most fun film and culture festival in the state of Iowa. So while 2020 was a false start, I look forward to submitting in 2021 and seeing why it has such a stellar reputation.

ACFF was a fantastic experience to be a part of. This film fest is part of a larger festival consisting of many bands and performances around the city of Davenport which is so easy to get around. Everyone we interacted with was kind and generous and the festival selections were well done and stood out as quality work. I was proud to be a part of it all. The theater we showed at was fantastic. Part of the Figge Museum it was maybe the most comfortable but also the best projection I've experienced for my work in Iowa. They also fed us for the whole day which was pretty unexpected and awesome and made for a space where filmmakers and performers actually congregated.
