Director Statement

Hi hello my name is Hunter and I’m a let’s put all of those emotions into art kind of girl. Im a self taught musician and you can experience the original score in my directorial debut Altermotion. The film was inspired after a conversation with a passing stranger, he told me that all his friends had gone into grad schemes after school and he had gone travelling and he was feeling somewhat set back and beaten by where he was in life. Through that conversation I came to an epiphany that this man wasn’t as rich financially compared to his peers but so rich in life and culture. He was set back in one space but miles ahead in another. It can be so easy to focus on what’s weighing you down sometimes that you forget to say at least I did that!! Absorbing all of that life into your heart. This is the message of Altermotion but it’s told in a more fantastical Wes Anderson inspired way. I hope you enjoy it!
