Director Biography - Jennifer Keller, André Koslowski

Jennifer Keller (Camera and Editor) is an American dance artist and educator. Keller's choreography and performance work has received a Pittsburgh Foundation award, the Harry Schwalb Excellence in the Arts Award, the 2003 Slippery Rock University President's Award for Creative Achievement, and the 2002 Zuzak Teaching Artist/Scholar Award. Her professional credits include seven years as a company member of TanzTheater André Koslowski (State College), four years as a company member of the Dance Alloy (Pittsburgh), four years as a company member of Mark Taylor & Friends (NYC) and a six-year span with Nina Martin and the collective Locktime Performance. Her current research focuses on the development of experimental dance film. Her film “ferry” has screened at festivals in Brazil, Canada, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Romania, Sweden and across the US.

André Koslowski (Choreographer & Performer) has been the Artistic Director of TanzTheater André Koslowski since 2003. A native of Bonn, Germany, he received a BA in acting from the University for the Arts in Berne, Switzerland, and a BA in dance from London Contemporary Dance School. Koslowski’s choreography has been presented in Germany, Switzerland, and England, as well as in the United States. Many dance companies and universities have commissioned his work and featured his performances, including Laboratory Company Dance, the Pittsburgh Dance Connection, Dance Alloy, IUP Dance Theatre, Junction Dance Theatre, and Ohio Dance Theatre.
