Alpinist - Confession of a cameraman
This is a story about unknown yet some of the most provocative mountaineers of Korea, their impossible challenges pushed by deceitful desires and the tragic results that a cameraman has not only recorded but also actively participated in creating during the four Himalayan expeditions from 2009 t0 2013. The film was finally completed by the cameraman’s own death in the Himalayas right after his first and last confession.

Born into a record shop that turned to a video rental store, Minchul Kim studied journalism in Korea and communication in the Netherlands. He has extensive expriences in audio-visual industry from film and TV to Ads and M/V productions. He produced parties and concerts and ran a record label before producing award winning docs such as Iron Crows (2009), Planet of Snail (2011) and 9 Muses of Star Empire (2012).
