Alpha & Alpha
In a context where the role of a queer person is seen as painting nails and cutting hair, Herlen and her friends Charlie and Jhoana struggle in their daily lives to challenge this prejudice. Through provocative performances, they confront outdated ideas and attempt to create a space where diversity is accepted.
Herlen does not accept any absolute truth. She believes that her role is not to simplify the world by categorizing it, but rather to make it more complex, to make people understand that not everything can be reduced to numbers. She gives a voice to those who don't have one and believes that the only way to change society is by empowering those who lack it.
At the same time, she lives in a paradox. She fights against a patriarchal system, yet she is attracted to macho men. There is a certain enjoyment in the dichotomy and the forbidden, and not everything is always logical.

Elias is an aspiring documentarian. With studies in moral philosophy and psychology, and experience in journalism, he aims to get as close as possible to his subjects. He believes in a world where coexistence, openness, and patience can bring us closer. By finding empathy with the diametrically different, in an environment where we can allow ourselves to be questioned and accept that we are not the sole possessors of truth, nor the judges, we can come closer to understanding what we are. Elias, eternally curious about the world, was born and raised in Sweden and has spent the last 13 years traveling the world, immersing himself in different cultures.
He will soon premiere his first work as a director, "Alpha & Alpha," a short documentary about Herlen, a transgender woman and her struggles in a forgotten part of the Colombian Caribbean.
