Director Statement

I have always been obsessed with the human psyche and madness.
Ever since i was a kid, i have always loved the crazy character, the one with the heavy trauma, that has a reason to do what they do.
When i started writing, i immediately began to write these types of characters, and have always felt close to them. And that's where "Sozinha" (Alone) came to be.
Priscila's story was came to me one day and i began to write and didn´t stop until her story was told. The story of a young woman who had to deal with hardships since she was a child, with just one person to help her, or try to, her sister. The story of someone who couldn´t deal with the pain and the regrets of the past. The story of someone who broke.
Because i believe that we all go crazy sometimes, but we have to find ways to keep going, to forgive, to chose life, and to keep on going everyday. And even though we break sometimes, we can always heal.
