Director Biography - Austin Kolodney

Raised by his mom in Newhall, California- Austin would devour her VHS collection and Vallarta brand chips/salsa with an insatiable appetite. This leisurely activity soon became an obsession. While attending USC's School of Cinematic Arts, Austin was one of two undergrads selected to direct a segment of the feature adaptation of 'Don Quixote' (Currently streaming on Netflix), won the Student Emmy for his comedy 'Takanakuy', and worked at Annapurna Pictures. Since school, Austin has assisted and associate produced for David O Russell, assisted Susanne Bier (Netflix's Bird Box), directed a web series for the SyFy Channel, produced two feature films (The Mad Whale + Tale of Two Coreys), directed spots for brands such as Otterbox, Leaprog, Chaco, and V-Tech, co-directed with Bella Thorne, and founded a sketch comedy channel currently featured on the front page of Funny Or Die. Austin is represented by Mosaic with his writing partner, Brooke Palmieri, where they are developing multiple shows in the half hour comedy space. Austin looks forward to telling more weird, dark, funny stories with a lot of heart, and one day owning a French Bulldog.

Or maybe just an English Bulldog. He hasn't decided.
