Ben Bishop is a Chicago filmmaker that acts, writes, directs, and edits most of his films. During his training to be an actor, Ben learned the value and joy of telling stories. He found directing actors to not be natural, after all the times he had been directed. Ben learned how to edit along the way, and learns new things with each project.
Ben finds a different type of artistic fulfillment with each of the four jobs. Each is a different interpretation and each has to be performed from a different standpoint in order to create the best possible story.
This film came from a late night conversation with my wife (who is in the film, as well). We heard a noise and made jokes about how we had a ghost in our apartment who is trying to make friends with us.
This film is about loneliness. I wanted it in the park because the park has so many fun things happening all around you. But you can always find people who are completely alone at the park. That's Dave. A ghost with no ghost friends, who just wants companionship.
We've all been to a party where we are surrounded by dozens of people, but no one is talking to us. So Dave does what we do in that situation, he plays with the dog.
