Almost Fine
So far, Balázs has been living the intellectual dream life. With a degree in Management, he
started his career working for the UN and later he became the CFO of a prestigious Hungarian NGO. His girlfriend is a French UN staff member, they have two children together, and they live in one of the best parts of Budapest. Despite that, he is not happy, he feels something is missing. He has tried everything to distract himself from the fact that what is a dream for others is a burden for him. Two years ago he decided to change his life: he left his CFO job, and became a simple bicycle courier.

Fanni Hatházi is a director and television producer from Budapest, Hungary. She has just finished her directing documentary MA programme in the University of Film and Theatre Arts. She graduated in TV production back in 2012, and her BA grad project was a 58-minute documentary as well – that is when she fell in love with this genre.
In the last ten years she has worked as a field producer and a reporter in various TV shows, including news and entertainment. In the last two years she moved on to fiction, and worked as a creative producer in some Hungarian TV series. Currently she is working on her first fiction short film and feature film as a director.
Burn out syndrome is a first world problem. Many people criticize my film, saying that in the wake of a war or a pandemic it’s not important enough, they have so many friends, who have the same problem… And this is exactly why I made this film, and why I believe it is so important. Being burned out, or feeling that we are not good enough, interesting enough or talented enough is an epidemic in the modern world. My film is about a man, who tries to face himself, and try to change his life for the better. Is this the solution? And more importantly is this the real problem he has? These are my questions I try to answer in this film.
After the Hungarian premiere I got a vast support from the audience. As I thought they can relate to this story, because it is their story. I hope getting into festivals means that a lot of people can watch this film, and have the empowering feeling that they are not alone, and that their story is important enough.
