Experiencing Interruptions?

Almond Milk

Healthy. Organized. But a chainsmoker. Berlin student Lars oscillates between compulsory order and conscientiousness. However, specifically two people in his environment – which he would have preferred to avoid at first glance – jolt him out of this comfort zone. To be precise, it is his bubbly flatmate Chiara as well as a new street acquaintance called Frank who is unlike any of other and definitely not the type Lars would have engaged with alone. A quiet study evening turns into quite a chaotic Berlin City night.
In „Mumblecore style“ the film focuses on authenticity and rawness, encouraging everyone to think outside the box; Interpersonally and film technically.

Director Biography - Mira Rumpel

Director Statement

Too often the small, seemingly unimportant moments are left unnoticed and the joyful times or painful seasons we experience with the people around us are quenched all too fast by our next experience or things that seem more important. Never-ending to-do lists, world events or simply everyday chores keep us from reflecting on all those little but precious divine encounters. I want to use the magic of filmmaking to grab on to exactly those: the laughter, the tears, dramatic, painful and carefree emotions, that are invariably attendant, whenever people engage.
