All That Matter II - Noto_Preview

On January 1, 2024, a powerful 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula in Japan, a region renowned for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. The disaster left behind fractured roads, destroyed homes, and fires that consumed entire neighborhoods. Over 80 lives were lost, and thousands of survivors faced the daunting reality of loss and devastation.

This Super 8 film captures the immediate aftermath and the quiet moments of life amidst the ruins. Without words, but with a universal language of compassion and resilience, it reveals the shattered yet beating heart of a community determined to rebuild. The analog style of the Super 8 camera brings a tactile intimacy to the imagery, preserving the fragility and beauty of each moment.

A cinematic ode to humanity, survival, and the enduring spark of hope, even in the face of overwhelming tragedy.
