Alive Streaming

Ms. Rinaldi, a successful but empty corporate woman, is apathetic in this connected world and needs a more intense entertainment experience, and a Mystery Man can get her access to it for a price.

Pat and his friend with benefits, Eve, are unwittingly that entertainment, their terror and death live streamed to Rinaldi and a select few high paying customers.

N.B. The movie that the character Pat watches within Alive Streaming is also one of our productions and we have all rights to it. It is called OF STARLIGHT.

Director Biography - Michael Z Atrata

Mike came to filmmaking later in life, at the ripe age of 32 he entered film school and since then has been producing independent work and continuing to learn. Born and bred in Greater Boston, humbled and honed in NYC and Pittsburgh, he is back in New England plying his craft.

He has written, directed, and produced two low-budget features and is in a long development process on his third. His work is sometimes explicit, sometimes metaphorical, always dark with a grotesque humor.

Director Statement

This project is the first one I've directed and produced that I did not also write. It was a refreshing change. I found the script online and contacted the writer, Rhonnie Fordham, and got permission to produce it. I saw many amazing visual elements and a very "Black Mirror-ish" theme that is very apropos to our online and logged-in world. A few script flourishes by me and we have a short terrifying tale that hints at a larger entity at work.

The story is simple yet a few fairly complex production elements make a compelling if a bit explicit short. A male victim all alone adds a departure to horror tropes where it is usually a young woman being victimized.
