Alissandra DiJoseph’s work is inspired by a lifelong interest in science fiction and fantasy. Drawn to the themes of perseverance and virtue, she is heavily influenced by comic book heroes. Alissandra earned a BFA in Emerging Media: Experimental Animation, from the University of Central Florida, specializing in storyboard art and 2D Animation.
Regarding her artistic pursuits, Alissandra was on the board of the International Art Honors Society, as the Secretary and interim Vice President. She planned and executed artistic workshops and oversaw the Mentor Program as well as publishing a Zine for the society. Alissandra created multiple short films under her degree program and as a member of the Animation Production Club. She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Birdhouse Studios, an online nonprofit indie volunteer animation studio, where she creates programs to grow young artists' talents and solves organizational challenges to help improve efficiency and productivity of production processes. Beyond her work in animation, Alissandra finds inspiration in writing, caring for her plants, and even restoring furniture, all of which fuel her creativity and attention to detail.
