Something serious is about to happen is a documentary that provokes mixed feelings in the viewer through Sebastian's story; a story of death and reconciliation that tries to decipher the past to understand the present.
This story is just a reflection of the suffering of the children who lost their parents during the more than 50 years of armed conflict in Colombia. Sebastian is simply the voice that personifies them.

Something Serious is about to happen is a documentary about the memory of the deputies kidnapped and murdered, about how the children of those political leaders of Valle del Cauca faced the kidnapping and subsequent assassination of their parents, it is the representation of the absence that tries to stay in their memory. This kidnapping, that of 12 politicians, is a turning point in the history of Cali but it is also a reflection of the barbarism of the war that the country went through.
