My name is Kurt Fernandes and I am a 25 year old filmmaker based in London, United Kingdom.
I've directed, filmed and edited several short films, feature films, music videos, social media content and documentaries which have managed to accumulate a total viewership of 40+ million views on all platforms worldwide.
I want to tell real stories about real people through my eyes.
Alexyz - A Multicoloured Cartoonist is my first directorial documentary debut. I want to put his story out there for the world to see and I want to shed some light on the 12,000+ cartoons he has made over the course of his life. The documentary also dives deeper into Alexyz’s positive way of living, his jolly and likeable personality, the politically movements he stood for through his work and the artistic capabilities he possesses as a cartoonist.
The writing process began, and we managed to film this documentary back in March 2024, which was all a day shoot and had us running all around Goa to get the interviews and shots we needed, finally concluding the shoot day by filming Alexyz himself at his house in Goa. Our energies work well and I think that was one of the things that translated directly into the documentary and helped it make it so special.
I hope this documentary on Alexyz and he hopes it will pave the way to bigger things and help put Goa, India on the international map.
