Alexander Genievsky a Russian born actor, painter, photojournalist, writer, producer, stage and film director . In 1984 he attended Moscow High Theatre School at the Vakhtangov's Theatre where he received his MFA in Theatre Arts. His associate degree also as a director in Saint Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts. After his military service and a battlefield he was wound and lost his hearing and since 21 year he is a deaf. Last 20 years he resides in United States; Washington DC and Baltimore, MD. His professional credits include acting, directing, teaching, photography, filming for over 25 years. His photo exhibition "The Instance of my Love" was show in the three countries, include Russia, Kazakhstan and Grace's Gallery, Owing Mills, Maryland. He did receive The International Society of Photographers Award. He is a winner of The North America Photo Contest and The International Library of Photography competition. He did work with several magazines and newspapers include "The World and I" in Washington Times Co', "Kaskad", Chaika", Vestnik in Baltimore, MD. He was appearing in D.C. theatres projects Include Round House Theatre , Silver Spring in "Caucasian Chalk Circle"of Bertolt Brecht, and also at the Maryland Ensemble Theatre. He has performed internationally in shows in Holland, Kazakhstan, Spain, Russia. Alex also appeared at the several Europe's Awarded film of Elem Klimov "Come and See". He is a former actor of Moscow's Shukin Theatre College. He is currently working as a free lance photojournalist, an independent filmmaker and writer , and also as a drama teacher and combat stage instructor at the several deaf and hearing schools include Gallaudet University as a guest artist.

And also the founder and head of the new creative non-commercial organization of the hearing-impaired " The World Through Silence".
