Alex Manugian was born in a very small town in Massachusetts. He fell in love with movies at four years old, when his father took him into Boston to see a screening of the original King Kong. He has written original screenplays and adaptations for Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount, ABC, New Regency and others. The 2013 film Coherence, which Alex co-wrote, produced and co-starred in, has become a cult phenomenon. In 2017 Alex joined the writing staff of Grey’s Anatomy for seasons 14 and 15. He has also been a film critic, development executive at Cartoon Network, creative consultant for both animated and live action television projects and a highly sought after housepainter on both sides of the country. Most recently, he turned his garage into a miniature soundstage and filmed an entire 55 minute movie in there. The movie is called A Christmas Wedding at the Bakery 3: Baker’s Dozen. It takes place in the wintry mountains of Colorado. His garage is in the summery suburb of Van Nuys. It was very warm in there.
