Alex Duarte is a social entrepreneur and director of the film and project Chromosome 21. For seven years he has been a speaker in the field of inclusion and has included and authored the book "From Diagnosis to Independence". He was one of the representatives of Brazil at the UN for the international day of Down Syndrome and received the title of Brazilian citizen by the Academy of Letters of São Paulo. His film Chromosome 21 was awarded in Hollywood and screened in theaters in Brazil. Alex is also the creator of the Generation 21 series, which chronicles stories of people with down syndrome who have gained independence.
