Alessia Buiatti was born on January 12, 1978 in Conegliano (TV) and currently lives in Belluno, Italy. She graduated in Communication Sciences at Iulm University in 2002 with 110/110 cum laude then worked as a journalist and communications manager at the local Confindustria from 2003 to 2011. Since 2011 Alessia has held many professional positions in journalism and corporate communications for various newspapers and companies, including: Il Sole 24 Ore, Luxottica Group Spa, Ministry of Environment, Unifarco SpA and many others. She also teaches Communication at a high school in Belluno.
Since 2017 however, Alessia has dedicated herself exclusively to cinema. In 2018 she wrote the concept and screenplay for ‘Soli, Insieme’; a short film about young hikikomori, produced by Kublai Film and distributed by Premiere Film. ‘Soli, Insieme’ went on to be selected for various film competitions. In 2019 she also wrote the concept and screenplay ‘L’Aurora' for which she was awarded funding from the Equal Opportunities Department that allowed her to make the short film in 2019 and use it to educate journalists and students.
Between 2019 and 2020, Alessia wrote and directed the first episode of the film trilogy ‘Il tempo e i giorni’, produced by Zetagroup SRL of Treviso.
With the production company Studio Zabalik in Rome, Alessia is currently developing a documentary about Alvaro Dal Farra, a Freestyle Motocross legend who is now engaged in social work.
Above all, Alessia's move to cinema has been one of hard work and passion, which truly translates into her work. She dreams, creates, does.
