Director Biography - Sam Toller

Sam has studied English Literature at the University of Bristol, where he performed regularly and was part of the BFI Film Academy Bristol. After several years of filmmaking, Sam's ambition was to make a full feature length out of a script he had written when he was seventeen.

Sam is now living in London, acting regularly and writing plays and film scripts.

Director Statement

"Alan is a simple story of teenage angst and pseudo-intellectualism, that I think a lot of young people will emulate with. We made it with very little money and a lot of passion. It's also a love letter to Rushmore, Annie Hall, Ladybird, The Inbetweeners, Skins, and to the absurd, stressful and innane experience of being a smart ass stuck up teen."
