Ahmad Alaa is a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Cairo, Egypt, with a deep passion for visual storytelling. His journey into filmmaking began at the age of 10 when his father gave him his first camera, sparking a lifelong interest in capturing moments and telling stories through the lens.
Currently studying cinematography and filmmaking at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Ahmad combines his academic experience with the unique perspective shaped by growing up in Cairo. This blend of education and personal influence has allowed him to develop a distinctive approach to his work, blending technical skill with a deep understanding of the environments he captures.
Ahmad’s short film *Maybe* has been screened both in Egypt and the United States, marking a significant milestone in his career. In addition, he has participated in several photography exhibitions in Cairo and at his college, further establishing his presence as a creative force.
Dedicated to pushing the boundaries of his craft, Ahmad strives to create work that resonates with both local and global audiences. His ultimate goal is to leave a lasting impact on the world of filmmaking, drawing inspiration from his roots in Cairo while appealing to a broader, international audience.
