Ahead of Time (pitch)

A career-focused track athlete is thrown off course when his ageing father and coach falls and breaks his hip. Being faced with his parent’s mortality his greatest opponent to Olympic qualification becomes Memory and Time as he struggles to open up to his parents about his fear.

Director Biography - Justin F. Lee

Justin is a filmmaker, playwright, and sailor with an interest in the evolution of Canadian drama as a building block for a richer national identity. He holds a BFA in theatre from the University of Victoria and has been working on set for 4 years in various roles primarily as an, Assistant Director, Producer and in Lighting. He is an associate producer at Electric Company Theatre in Vancouver. Ahead of Time will be his 5th time directing film after his debut Writer/Director short Knots, the psychological thriller Smile for Me and two Run N Gun 48hr competition films Chicken Soup for the Socially Awkward and The Observatory.
