Agni Sikha

This is the true story of Ms. Eswari Bai, a woman leader who faced all round discrimination of caste, class and gender. While everyone of her ilk silently suffered the oppression, Eswari Bai chose to fight against all forms of oppression. She revolted against child marriage and broke her marriage at the age of 14. She decided not to be a silent witness of caste, class and gender exploitation. She took cudgels against feudal norms and systems. She saw how the political parties are lead by feudal lords and how all political leaders are working for personal aggrandizement with corrupt mindsets. The poor and marginalized are left without option to follow one or the other feudal leader or political party. It was then she experienced the commitment and ideology of Dr B R Ambedkar and decided to walk in his path. Soon she became a political power in Republican Party of India, established by Ambedkar. She struggled for the upliftment of dalit and the downtrodden. Despite threats, political and family pressures, she stood strong for the ideology she believed in and inspired everyone. She was a visionary, a committed leader, a loving mother and a powerful leader. Eswari Bai’s story is an untold tale of a ferocious fighter who fought for the people.
