Born in Italy, the Land of Art, Culture, and Cinema, I have experimented with art in all its forms, but I have never known how to channel my creativity until my mid-thirties when I realized what my true life's calling was: making movies.
My short film directorial debut "Bloom-The Only Way Out Is Through” is in the festival circuit. So far, it has earned the Award for Best Cinematography at the Los Angeles Independent Short Awards and the Award for Best Female Filmmaker at the TINFF.
Starting a film career was a leap of faith for me. The idea of becoming a Film Director and Cinematographer never crossed my mind. At first, I conquered the art of photography, starting as a street and event photographer, and my hunger for wanting to do more pushed me beyond my expectations, learning filmmaking as a self-taught student while putting my hands on many filming projects.
A recurrent theme in my style is the emphasis on images, rather than character dialogues, creating thrilling visuals through the artistic use of light and shadow, framing, symbolism, music and sound effects.
I find inspiration in the work of iconic Film Directors like Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Orson Welles and Cinematographers like Gordon Willis, Brendan Uegama, Gordon Verheul and Vittorio Storaro.
I live in Boston, USA, and am currently engaged in the development of a psychological horror film inspired by the concept of Pure Cinema.
