I am a 19-year-old, Indian- American film student currently studying at Emerson College in Boston, MA. I am in love with everything filmmaking. I have worked in almost every role on a film set with the goal of creation. Most recently I have been a director of photography on an upcoming short film entitled Twenty (2023) and I have written and directed my own short films, Wild Wild (2022) and Age of the Goldfish (2023).
Age of the Goldfish is an experimental way to show a struggle that I have gone and continue to go through at this point in my young adult life. It's the reality that at my age, no matter how much you want to take control of your own life and allow yourself to take on the world as an individual, it is almost impossible. Your friends and family don't show a desire to let you go even if it's what's good for you. Their love can be suffocating. I believe that this is something that not only I have experienced, but many others throughout their lives, and if a single viewer can relate to my film then I will be happy.
