A young woman returns home after her estranged father’s death, only to find herself drawn into a shadowy organization that investigates supernatural phenomena linked to the memories of the deceased. Julian Bernhardt is an American Television Pilot/Spec Screenwriter based in Ardmore, PA. An aspiring writer who has started developing his style of diverse characters based on the storylines of his journey to find a home for his screenwriting. In his new script, “Afternotes” brings the viewer into a world of traumatic fantasy. Afternotes coming from deceased strangers and loved ones, changing lives in their wake. "Afternotes" is a new Finalist in The Los Angeles Screenplay Awards Fall 2024. In a complicated world, he has worked hard to develop his skills at The Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in English. His first script, “Perfect," combines his communication skills and nuance to follow relatable characters living nonconventional lives. While his script, "Sociable," focuses on bringing a voice to the queer community that he calls home and channeling the power of found family to solve crimes. As he tries to survive the customer service world, Julian uses his people-watching skills to delve deep into character-driven scripts focused on diversity and breaking down barriers.
