Biographical Sketch
Kathy Cotton Digital Storyteller
Mrs. Cotton has worked as a human resources professional inside
corporations such as Hewlett Packard and TRW as well as several startups.
Ms. Cotton left the corporate world and started a consulting firm that
worked with small and developing companies providing employee relations
consulting, writing policy manuals, auditing personnel files, establishing
personnel practices, keeping small companies up to date on current
workplace law and practices. While working with her clients she began
using her video skills to produce Power Point presentations, orientation
films, product demonstrations and skills training.
Before Mrs. Cotton retired she began studying digital presentations at the
Digital Media Academy at Stanford University. Working as a camera
operator, video editor, photo recovery as well as music creation and editing.
She has completed courses and proven proficient in Final Cut Pro, Adobe
Web Design, Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop, DVD Studio Pro,
Motion, Soundtrack, iMovie and Garage Band as well as comprehensive
studies in Documentary production and video production workshop.
Mrs. Cotton comes is currently working on a Documentary film entitled The
Silicon Valley Black project.
