Se estivessem vivos, como seria uma aula de química com jovens que foram vítimas de balas perdidas no Grande Rio de Janeiro? Esse é o tema do curta-metragem “A explosão nossa de cada dia”. Idealizado e realizado ao longo de 2023 pelo coletivo “1109” formado por um professor e vinte e quatro alunos de uma turma de 1º ano do ensino médio de uma escola pública da zona norte carioca, o curta busca construir novos olhares sobre o papel da escola, tendo em vista o contexto de vida dos alunos, a violência urbana e o ensino de ciências para jovens de periferia. A narrativa que se inspira nas histórias dos estudantes que formam o coletivo se situa entre a ficção e o documentário, transitando entre a autobiografia e a invenção de si.

f they were alive, what would a chemistry class be like with young people who were victims of stray bullets in city of Rio de Janeiro and metropolitan Region? This is the theme of the short film "Give us this day our daily explosion". Conceived and carried out throughout 2023 by the collective "1109" formed by a teacher and twenty-four students from a 1st year high school class of a public school in the north of Rio de Janeiro, the short film seeks to build new perspectives on the role of the school, considering the context of students' lives, urban violence and the teaching of science to young people from the periphery. The narrative that is inspired by the stories of the students who make up the collective is situated between fiction and documentary, moving between autobiography and self-invention.
