Across the Border
Across the Border is a social drama that explores the relationship between two sisters, Lisa and Laura Murdoch through the themes of grief, betrayal, and immigration. Laura Murdoch who lost her police constable son at the hands of migrants, or so Lisa was told, has become miserable, somber, and hateful towards them. Even though Laura is there to support her sister Lisa through grief, she still helps the refugees and their needs. And that conflict between the two is the centre of the story. Laura is the reminder that hate is not the solution to grief.

I am a Hungarian TV graduate based in Edinburgh, UK. My passion for film, and music video drives me to become a director and editor in film, TV, and music videos.
At university, I have gained a broader understanding of the Creatives Industries, and valuable practical experience in the whole production. I have taken part in student projects which have given me the opportunity to perform as a director, screen writer, producer, 1st AD, camera and sound operator, runner and editor.
From story development and cinematography to applying visual effects, I find every element of making moving images exciting. Real emotional impact is what I would like to offer the world as a director and as an editor.
The purpose of Across the Border is to open up the conversation about the topic of immigration, to show that everyone can have their own reason and perspective on subjects but it also encourages them to think further, to research and to gain an understanding...but most of all to stay human.
