Experiencing Interruptions?

Acquired, Invisible

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to be invisible? What about if only part of you was invisible? Would that be better or worse? What about if you were disabled? Maybe you’d rather be invisible. But if you weren’t born disabled that’d be better, right? What if your disability was invisible? That would be the best thing. Would it? ACQUIRED, INVISIBLE.

Despite being in English Acquired, Invisible is also Closed Captioned to ensure maximum accessibility and inclusiveness for all viewers.

Director Biography - Jackson

Jackson is a long-time actor who turned his hand to directing and filmmaking in 2003. For many years Jackson worked in the Music Industry directing projects for Brian Cadd, Mike Brady and many others before deciding to make the jump to short films. In 2013 Jackson’s film Jordana’s Choice, which he both wrote and directed, won an award for Best Cinematography. This was followed up in 2015 with Nonsounds Make Sense, a short film asking its audience to consider the importance and normalcy of disability. It was only a matter of time before his passion for storytelling made the pull of creating documentaries irresistible and Jackson was commissioned to travel to Japan to direct and film a martial arts documentary based on the life of Karate legend, Stan Schmidt. Jackson followed this with a series of short pieces for the YES FlashMob for Marriage equality in 2017 and Slutwalk 2018 before moving onto Acquired, Invisible, all of which highlight his desire to provide a voice and advocacy for those who need it most.
