Director Statement

Dear Judges.
Good day. My name is Marshall Callery I am just beginning to learn the art of video production and directing. It was my intent to gather voices from multiple people in order to gain insights into the question, “How do we achieve racial healing?” It is a difficult subject and I do not believe any one person has all the answers. Thus, the reason for the multi-person format. I chose the Hyde Park community of Chicago because of the ethnic and racial diversity found there. I hope you enjoy my submission.
