Absurdly

Absurdly is a film based on the misconception I had with the term “absurd”, that’s was often seen as a negative adjective through out my whole life. Using this side of the term, I forced my self to view the world around me from an absurd view. Altering all my thoughts, it started to gain a different context, with the help of something as absurd as a popsicle stick, this dialogue starts and eventually leads to a vivid moment, appreciating all your past experiences and giving you a reminder that we are here for s short time and we should enjoy it while we can. Absurdly is meant to highlight that absurdness within being human, that beauty we all have when we let ourselves feel.

Director Biography - Samantha Estefania Burgos

My name is Samantha Burgos, I am 17 years old and i’m from Ecuador, ever since I can remember I have been drawn to camaras and recording devices, not knowing what to do just fascinated by the idea that that object can encapsulate moving pictures and make them eternal. Currently im in school and have a great fondness for liberal arts, since I was 6 i’ve painted and art has been and is my outlet for emotions I don’t quite comprehend. In a near future, I would like to study film and television, but until then shorts like this will be my pleasure.
