Abstraction

The Abstractors are agents that specialize in manipulating people's thoughts, memories, and feelings by abstracting and storing them in an omniscient artificial intelligence that oppresses and controls most of society. When Nathan Jones, a skilled Abstractor, comes across Kat, a young girl who is somehow able to resist the abstraction process that he was sent to perform on her, he ends up risking everything in order to protect her from those who would do her harm. If the only way to save someone you cared about was to erase all traces of them from your mind forever, would you do it?
