Absolution

Carmen was introduced to Horror at a young age. Her love for film grew alongside her talent for writing. She has worked in the corporate world for 25 + years. Notably, she was a Meeting Planner for the Air Force in Mission Planning and an Office Manager/Marketing representative at a Title Insurance and Escrow company. In 2020 she spread her wings and decided to pursue her writing full-time. In addition, she started her Production Company LUXEbrands Productions focusing on elevated horror.
Carmen has won numerous awards for her Horror Feature scripts. Recently among the most prestigious is placing in the Semi-Finals for her Feature Horror Script, Absolution, in the ScreenCraft Horror Competition in 2021. And she was chosen as a Semi-Finalist for her TV Horror/Crime Series, Veiled in the Cinequest Writing Competition in 2021. In 2022 she won Best Feature Script in the Horror Bowl Movie Awards for her newest Horror Feature, The Don and the Devil, among many others. She was recently commissioned to write four scripts as paid writing assignments. Additionally, her first Press Release was in August 2022 for her co-writing credit on the upcoming Ghosts of the Railroad. Carmen currently has a project under LUXEbrands Productions in Development with a known Horror Director and talent attached.
Carmen writes timely Horror Scripts raised beyond gore and jump scares. She focuses on psychological terror, dread and terror elevated from the human experience.
She has a BA in English/Creative Writing from ASU and holds a current Real Estate License in the state of Nevada with the prestigious Realtor® designation. She is currently pursing her Master's of English.
When she is not writing scripts, she enjoys reading and studying philosophy, language, and religion. Carmen relishes time with her family and traveling to Disneyland, across the US, and internationally. She likes to enjoy researching the latest TV and film or a good book with a glass of wine.
