The story of this suspense and psychological short movie is about a young man who is broken by his dark past before he decided to keep his far distance away from society and choosing the path of drug addiction, that made him see illusions mixed with his reality, & turning in to a man with no hope and has nothing to lose in his life, or so he thought..

Director Biography - Hassan Reda

Hassan Moustafa Hassan Reda (Hassan Reda) is a film editor and an independent film director (Narrative & Documentaries films) & a former cartoonist and a graphic designer, He started his film making career in the end of 2011, And since then he edited and directed several short documentaries & short narrative films, And he participated with some of them in many different film festival inside and outside Egypt.

He‘s the grandson of the late Egyptian film director/ Hassan Reda Sr.
A Bachelor graduate from faculty of commerce, Cairo University (2006). & Diploma graduate from The Cartoon institute, Nottingham University,
London, UK (2006).

Hassan studied after that in a Film Making workshop in 2014 at Calibre Academy Film School in Cairo, Egypt. Hassan was lectured in that film making workshop by the legendary Egyptian director Aly Badrakhan to improve his knowledge and skills in the film making field. Also he learned more about theatrical acting & acting in front of camera. He developed his acting skills through the years and his passion has got stronger for it along with his passion for film making.

And currently, he is an active ember in Egyptian cinema syndicate since 2017.

On the beginning of his journey, Two of his film have won in a row between 2012 & 2013, The first was his documentary film “Desert Rage: Chronicles of Gaddafi” that won the jury award in September 2012 at Al Sawy Culture Wheel 8th Documentary film festival, & the second was his 1st Short feature film “The Elevator” which won the award of best editing in March 2013 at Al Sawy Culture Wheel 10th Short film festival.

On April 23, 2015, Hassan’s short film “From A Different Point of View” won the Golden award (1st place) in Al Sawy Culture Wheel 12th Short film festival for best short film.

And on October 22, 2015, Hassan was one of the honorees in a ceremony that was made by the syndicate of applicators in Cairo to honor and appreciate 30 chosen Egyptian independent film makers for their efforts and creations in that field through the past few years.

On the 1st of December, 2016, He won an award of best Montage for his short film "The Filled Half" in Youssef Shahin's 7th Short Film Festival.

On February 17th, 2017 his short film “The Filled Half” also won an award for best short film at Oscars Egypt short film festival in its 4th edition.

On April, 2017, His short film "The Filled Half" won its 3rd award in a row, The Bronze award for 3rd best short film in El Sawy Culture Wheel's 14th Short Film Festival.

On December 13th, 2018, His short film “Contact” won the Bronze award for 3rd best short film in Youssef Shahin’s 9th short film festival. That film also won 3 awards in El Sawy Culture Wheel’s 16th Short Film Festival on March 14th, 2019, The 3 awards were Best Directing award, The Bronze award for 3rd best short film & the main actor in the film won Best Actor award.
