Above 3°C
“Above 3°C” is an experimental film about the climate change, imagining a climate-influenced civilization by creating a novel narrative approach.
I wanted to create an apocalyptic film narrating that future inundation scene with the AI technology. And my story is told through the visuals of the inundations and crumblings of the cities’ valuable historical/cultural heritages.
Building a post-apocalyptic world with the data-based climate projection, I hope to call out a collective awareness from the audiences, of the current climate crisis we are facing, thus provoking a deeper reflection of how human existence can shape and change our living space as well as our history.
The project also serves as my artistic exploration of employing new technologies for cinematic storytellings — to project the future into the past, to make the past resurrected through the future.
