Director Biography - Vanessa Guan

Vanessa Guan, studying in Film Production (MFA), and graduated from Cultural Studies (BA) at Hong Kong Baptist University, also completed Film Production and Writing program at Shanghai Vancouver Film School. She has work experiences on producing, film festival programing, writing film review, media reporting and translating.

关文尔，香港浸会大学文化研究文学学士毕业，电影制作艺术硕士在读，以及完成上海温哥华电影学院电影制作与编剧课程。在制片、策展、影评、媒体、翻译方面有工作经验。

Director Statement

Even at the last moment of the epidemic, the whole world was still under its influence. I decided to take a short film like writing diary, about my journey after I left mainland China in August 2022. I never saw there were such few people walking by the sea in Hong Kong’s iconic spot.

即使是疫情结束前的最后时刻，整个世界都还笼罩在它的影响之下。我决定像写日记一样拍摄这个短片，记下我2022年8月出境以后的旅程。我从来没见过只有这么少的人，走过香港的标志性海滨长廊。
