A blue bird flying towards the people's happy life
On the exterior wall of a residential building, the peeling plaster, rain-soaked corners, dangling electrical wires, nearly falling awnings, and half-covered windows all mark the traces of people's lives and memories. However, as time passes, we cannot help but lament that those once cherished happy memories will also fade away. In this work, we begin our exploration of the true essence of happiness with "a blue bird flying towards people's happy lives." The story is inspired by the Symbolist play "The Blue Bird" and narrates the fantastical journey of the young protagonists, Didi and Midi, in search of the "Blue Bird." True happiness is not found in the acquisition of material wealth or the fulfillment of desires, but in beautiful memories, a fulfilling life, and a rich spirit. The work consists of nine scenes, including anthropomorphic imaginings of characters, animals, and various objects. Through the integration of theatrical content and landscape environment, the symbolic portrayal of characters is reflected on the building facade, creating a multi-dimensional narrative practice.
