Abhishek loknar is an Indian filmmaker who studied film making from the International Academy of Film and Television from the Philippines. Abhishek is a BTech in instrumentation and control from Pune and has won awards for best dance director and choreographer in the prestigious Firodiya Karandakduring his college days for three consecutive years (2012-2015). He is the founder of the film company Aaveg Production based in Pune and Nashik. With Aaveg Production as the producer, Abhishek wrote and directed plays like "Ummeed" and "Vimukti" which were highly appreciated by the audience resulting in houseful shows as well as covered by leading newspapers like Times of India, Lokmat and Sakal. Abhishek then turned to make films. Abhishek is the writer, director & producer of the short film "Anvat(an unusual deed...)"which had been officially selected and screened nationally and internationally. The film was appreciated by Oscar and Emmy award winners like Randy Spendlove. It was screened at film festivals in California, Washington, China, UK, Nigeria, Dada Saheb Phalke Film festival in Mumbai and Ankur film festival in Nashik. He further created a feature short film named "Pandharwada" which was officially selected and screened internationally at film festivals in the UK, Australia and it was the only Indian film to be screened at the semi finals at the CinemaLab Colombia film festival. Both these films today are available to watch on Shorts TV on television and MX player, an Ott platform. He is also the director of the mini-series "Camping Night" of which the first part is available on MX player to watch. Abhishek has worked as the chief assistant director on the Zee5 Original web series "Sex Drugs and Theatre" showcased on Zee5, an Ott app. With a vision to expand Aaveg Production, Abhishek has collaborated and partnered with around 12 brands of different sectors nationally as well as internationally to create their brand films. He has collaborated with Western Coalfields in India, a central government company and created a feature documentary in association with Delhi ministry on topics of coal mining, sustainability, innovated initiation and life around it. Apart from this Abhishek has done an educational documentary series of 30 videos with NGO, Kids Education Revolution and Teach For India, designed to identify, capture and learn from the inspiring leadership journeys of students who have created transformation and impact on self, others and India to the change making initiative. On his journey of telling stories Abhishek collaborated with Erasmus University in Rotterdam in Netherlands in association with Avegen Health Care in Pune to help pregnant women in India. "Together for Her" is a digital platform and an app where pregnant women are given all the information and support, they need during pregnancy, labour and postpartum period.
Abhishek has recently been awarded at the 52nd International Film Festival of India, Goa (IFFI) for the "Best 75 Creative Minds of India" by the Indian government, Directorate of film festivals & Information & broadcasting ministry.
