Abdul Rasool Rahmani, an independent Afghan filmmaker, was born in the most insecure part of Afghanistan (Gozare) Herat and currently lives in Iran. He started his career in 2006 with an interest in cinema and documentary making and has made numerous projects including the documentary Hanifa and local series called Omid and Arezo, Saeed and Sahar, Dokhtar Hamsam and more than 10 short films in provincial festivals. He has skills such as cinematography, writing, and acting. His works are focused on social and cultural issues.
