Director Biography - Sana Al-Ansari

Sana Al-Ansari is a Qatari/American Masters of Fine Arts Documentary Practice student at University College London. She graduated from NUQ in 2019 with a bachelor's in Communication. She has a passion for filmmaking and participated in many different films as a sound recordist, script supervisor, director and producer. In 2017-2018, she joined the Studio 20Q Board as the Public Relations Chair, giving her the opportunity to brand and market the club. She traveled to many different places on service-learning trips, such as Nepal, Italy and the United States and enjoys learning about new people from different cultures. Sana directed her own documentary that received a grant from Studio20Q about the military service in Qatar. Recently, she made a film about a typical Qatari in London as a part of her master's course. She received a grant from Doha Film Institute for a web series in which she was the co-writer on and plans to direct an episode.
