Aapang a clever survivor
“Aapang” is inspired from a character from Manipuri folklore. His wit and solution to problems are
extremely fast. Aapang woke up in a garbage dump yard, lying weak and motionless. Though he
had become very weak, his sharp instincts soon discovered various objects lying around him,
which were useful for regaining his strength. Barring his weakness, Aapang gradually gets up and
starts exploring the garbage dump yard. He eventually comes across a secret, dark and sinister,
hidden deep at the hub of the junkyard. This discovery challenges Aapang to summon all his wits
and courage in the face of danger lurking within.

Raghu Sinha is a visual artist from Assam, India. he has been in art practice since 2019, in 2023 with collaboration
with documentary filmmaker Biswajit Das made a film “Fused city” which is selected at ‘Nagari
short-film festival’.
His practice is an expanded exploration into several media through which seamlessly connect
photography, filmmaking, and digital art in a process of creating experimental stop-motion films.
His interest is also in pushing the limits of visual expression by creating immersive experiences
that invite viewers to dive deep into intricate connections among seemingly unrelated elements.
My artistic approach is a dynamic investigation of diverse media and methods, mirroring my continuous quest for experimentation and understanding. where I embraced technology's boundless potential to produce vibrant, complex pieces that push the frontier of visual expression.
Additionally, photography has played a big role in my work. My investigation into visual storytelling inevitably brought me to the field of filmmaking, where I was able to combine my many talents and experiences in a way that was new to me.
I combine these many ideas to create a unified project in my current work, which results in brief experimental stop-motion films. These movies are a synthesis of photography, cinematic methods, conventional and digital art, with each frame carefully developed to tell a universal story.
My artistic objective is to produce multi-sensory, immersive experiences that entice viewers to investigate the relationships between many artistic mediums. I aim to evoke wonder and interest in viewers by pushing them to go past the obvious and discover deeper meaning in the relationships between seemingly unrelated items.
In the end, my work reflects my ambition to experiment and develop constantly, blending old with new. Every project is an exploration voyage where artistic boundaries are continually being reinvented.
