A Song for Juliette

A song for Juliette begins when Julie, 35 years old and deaf, becomes aware of the monotony that pervades her existence. She is married to Omar, but their marriage has lost its luster. Omar no longer fulfills her romantic expectations and the future seems like a "morning of fog".

Caught between the grip of her fantasies and the strength she draws from the familiar facets of her life—her son, her grandmother, and her newfound position at a local film production set around Goethe's Faust—Julie grapples with a melancholic state as she contrasts her dreams with the banality of her life.

The tale of Faust serves as a poignant reflection of her internal turmoil, with its characters abstractly mirroring the hidden depths beneath her own surface.
Despite her grandmother's objections, who advocates for the importance of effort in a marriage, Julie refuses to relinquish her yearning to explore her own fantasies. Her life takes an unexpected turn as she meets Arthur.

Initially, Julie and Arthur cultivate a platonic connection, but their meetings are more frequent, intimate, and tinged with an affection that remains only partially acknowledged. However, their friendship takes an unexpected turn when she receives a message from Arthur in the form of a poem by Hafiz.
Despite the initial resistance, they both succumb to their desire, embarking on a passionate affair.

A Song for Juliette" was not only a personal adventure but also a remarkable opportunity to delve into the works of writers and poets such as Goethe, Dante, and Hafiz.

This film revolves around the beauty of language, encompassing poetry, theater, and the power of words.

Throughout the process of crafting this project, it was crucial to unravel the profound meaning behind romantic attraction.
Did Hafiz and Dante find themselves drawn to a tangible individual or were they captivated by a reflection of their own souls?
What lies beneath the surface of humanity's yearning for relationships? What secrets hide behind the fantasies of love affairs?
How does the unconscious mind influence our daily attitudes and what purpose does it serve?

The interplay between the pursuit of love, the accompanying fantasies, and the subconscious processes that lie beneath are fundamental to comprehending our psyche.
Superficially, Juliette appears dissatisfied in her marriage, yearning for passion and craving the exhilaration and delight that new experiences bring.

While the ancient Greeks were preoccupied with the power of fate, contemporary individuals are now fascinated by the mystery and power of the unconscious.
Carl Jung's perspective suggests that much of what is perceived as fate is a reflection of unexamined inner states and reactions that shape man's external experiences.

Why do the majority of relationships ultimately fail?
Could it be that we have been searching in the wrong direction?
Is there a deep-seated longing within the soul to connect with the conscious mind, as suggested by Jung and other Jungian authors, which underlies the attraction between men and women?
How does the physical world mirror our innermost world?

These questions have been present since the project's inception, and it has been of utmost importance to seek out clues that shed light on these mysteries.
