Alexander James Taylor was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the most misleading start to what would actually surmount to a pretty interesting existence. At the age of 8 he would play Theseus in a gratuitously abridged performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and he was in love. Alexander would then pursue his love of acting as he moved from Rockville, Maryland to Manilla, Philippines, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Taipei, Taiwan, and yes, even Evansville, Wisconsin. Spending the entirety of his formative years in transit overseas, Alexander developed a perspective of the world that has been described as "sagacious" and "weird". Throughout his life Alexander would always be drawn to the acting programs available to him no matter the format.
Alexander trained as an actor in the BFA program at Florida Atlantic University, and then relocated to New York City where he would work in Off-Off-Broadway Activist Theatre and study comedy with the Upright Citizen's Brigade and Brooklyn Comedy Collective. Alexander can be found in class at the Mel Mack Acting Studio, Actor's Connection, and One on One NYC. For comedy you can find him in monthly shows at the People's Improv Theatre as a resident cast member of the New York City Comedy Spectacular, and the sketch team Cookie Puss.
