Experiencing Interruptions?

AYA's life

A bottle of wine, the world and two souls connected on the border of pain and hope.

From February 12 to 21, a group of young people from the Municipal Street Education Program of El Pilar and Campillo participated in the youth exchange 'The other in (me)dia' in Pau, France.

The project, framed within the Erasmus+ program, has been led by the Rakonto association, which aims to promote an ecologically, socially and environmentally just transition through artistic practices.

The aim of this meeting has been to promote critical thinking about the narratives and audiovisual representations of the others (the migrant, the foreigner, the racialized, etc.) in the media.

“To highlight the day of creation, because with everything we learned during the week we were allowed to express ourselves in a way that we felt comfortable, which resulted in great creations (audiovisual, audio, performance, collage...). In my case, together with Sara, we created a performance entitled “Aya's Story”; this allowed us to open up through theater, writing and dance, and show our stories and realities in a more original and creative way”. This video that we now present is the adaptation we have made for audiovisual format. We hope you like it.
