Director Biography - Ricky Curt Wood

Rick Wood was a career photojournalist and writer who later worked on Documentary Films. As a director, Wood created the award-winning documentaries Fragile Waters and Deconstructing Eden.
He currently resides in Jakarta with his wife and children, where Wood continues to photograph wildlife.
His current hobby is creating short films using Artificial Intelligence, which is an important adaptation for his hearing disabilities.

Director Statement

I feel like generative AI can do, in many ways, what art has always done: allow expression and storytelling. It levels the playing field for small, independent filmmakers. Having said that, I truly believe it needs to evolve ethically. It'll be interesting to see how AI changes filmmaking over the next few years.
