A Work Of Heart
Twelve year old Amanda defies her mother’s rules by fostering a kinship with Bonnie, a middle aged homeless woman. As the tween formulates a plan to get her new friend off the streets, Amanda is unpleasantly surprised at the outcome of her altruistic intentions. This film takes us on an unexpected journey through complex relationships and social awareness. Appropriate for ages 10 and up.

Christine's directing & producing credits include 'We All Fall Down', 808 -The film & 'The Stooge'. She is most proud of her recent project 'A Work of Heart,' which she has written and directed based on true life events. From producing her own projects and teaching young performers at the SAG conservatory, to portraying character’s such as Judy Potwin (opposite Kevin Sorbo) in the New Series 'The World According to Billy Potwin', Christine’s world orbits around the magical of film making.
The film is intended not only to bring awareness, but to explore more than one perspective in any given situation. The character Bonnie is based on a real person as Heather McPhaul encompasses this dynamic role flawlessly. Being a mother, I wanted to address the struggles of the mother and daughter relationship. Maya Rosalia brings vulnerability and conviction to the lead character, Amanda . I am truly grateful to the cast and crew and hope you enjoy the film as much as we enjoyed making it.
