Director Statement

I wanted to make this film because I am a fan of samurai films from the 50s and 60s and have always had a strong interest in Japanese culture, especially samurai. Beyond that, I wanted to make this film as it involves overcoming internal and external obstacles, which is something that everyone has to deal with in their lives. So, the audience will be able to relate quite easily to Hashimoto, as he has to overcome obstacles to reach his journey’s conclusion.
