A Wandering Artist and a Red Rose

A painter is seen reading a book in his studio. Suddenly, a painting fell by itself from the easel. It's a painting that has not been completed when the painter went to Bogor some time ago to paint the Presidential Palace in the Bogor Botanical Gardens. The painter then took a train to Bogor to finish his work. In the Bogor Botanical Gardens, a red rose is always seen, as if following the painter wherever he goes. In the mid of painting, a mysterious figure could be seen behind the painter, with long flowing hair wearing a white dress holding a red rose standing behind and observing as he painted. After the painting was 90% finished, the painter decided to go home and finish his painting in his studio. That afternoon, in the studio, the painter finished his work. When the painting was done, the painter seem very satisfied, and went inside to take a shower. While the painter was taking a shower, a figure with long hair in a white dress could be seen, facing the painting of the Bogor Presidential Palace. The figure is then seen taking a brush and scribbling a red paint on the mermaid statue found in the painting. After shower, the painter came back to the studio and was surprised because there is red paint dot on the mermaid statue in his painting. The painter was even more surprised and wondered, because there was an old black and white photograph and a red rose lying near the painting. What does this red rose mean?
