A Traveller's Road
In a distant land not far from memories, a Lonely Traveller ventures onto a barren path, longing for warmth and life. He meets a Little Child whose purpose is to play, a Young Boy who is always learning, a Grown Man who only works and an Old Fellow who remembers his life yet regrets no love. The Traveller discovers wonder, games, childhood, adventures, greed, and acceptance of his life with each person. Each time friends disappear, he learns to continue the path and say goodbye to the milestones that shaped him. This children's book-like parable teaches the value of every moment and to trust your chosen path.

Originating from Sydney, I am an emerging Australian creative with an interest in directing, animating, writing, and editing. Recently graduating from SAE Institue (Bachelor of Film Production), I am performance-driven with an exceptional eye for detail and a deep love for the industry.
My passions lie in telling raw, honest stories not previously given a voice. I aim to bring a sense of realism and universal connection within my works that all audiences can relate to and feel heard in. Specifically, those dealing with social norms, gender and unique perspectives.
This passion project has been circling my mind for years since I first put pen to paper writing the original story. Our objective was to create a beautiful and pure 2D animated short that explores this universal journey and progression from childhood to old age in an all-understood form. Thus, embodying the same whimsy and colourful images that painted the written page.
Our animators took inspiration from water-coloured paintings and life-like 2D drawings that inspired Disney and Studio Ghibli films. We wanted to create an almost picture-book, children's picture-book styled animation that feels as if it's written, drawn, animated and coloured as you go. Without dialogue, we vowed to create pure animation that tested the limits of our storytelling and creative abilities. Eventually, creating a full sensory, emotional experience accompanied by an original score.
None of us had worked with this animation type, so all in all, this was a huge learning experience that provided a new understanding of animation possibilities and appreciation for Disney films that shaped me. Directing an animated short as opposed to live-action was a whole other ball-park and one I would love to pursue, as well as the future of "A Traveller's Road".
